Risthora Terms of Service
Risthora Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 October 2026.
These terms govern the use of Risthora, an online platform for restaurants, provided by ZETAVISION S.R.L., Via Don Leone Serafini 44/2, 38121 Trento (TN), Italy, VAT number IT02806560229 ("ZetaVision", "we"). They apply to the restaurant that holds a Risthora account (the "Restaurant") and to every person who uses Risthora on its behalf. If the Restaurant has signed an order form or contract with ZetaVision, that document prevails over these terms where the two differ.
1. The service
Risthora gives a Restaurant:
- booking pages and offer pages on the Restaurant's own web address, with a booking form;
- a staff panel for the day's bookings, check-in at the door, tables and the waitlist;
- an administration console with reports, marketing (offers, photos, campaigns), communications with guests, availability, locations, branding, the booking form, connections to other services and users;
- AI features that prepare proposals (section 6);
- connections to third-party services that the Restaurant chooses (section 7).
ZetaVision decides which parts of the console are available to each Restaurant, and many features stay switched off until they are switched on for that Restaurant. Risthora evolves over time. ZetaVision tells the Restaurant's owners by email before removing a feature they use, at least 30 days ahead unless a security or legal reason requires it sooner.
2. Accounts and roles
- Owner: manages the whole Restaurant account. An owner invites and removes members and sets their role and locations, publishes offers and pages, sends campaigns, approves any spending, connects and disconnects third-party accounts and exports the Restaurant's data.
- Manager: handles the bookings and the opening hours of their locations in the staff panel. Managers do not see the Restaurant's business reports.
- Agency member: a person from an agency the Restaurant works with, invited by an owner. An agency member can read aggregate marketing results and prepare drafts (offers, pages, images and campaign drafts), but cannot see guests' data, publish, send messages or spend money. ZetaVision registers each agency; the owner grants and revokes its access.
- New members receive an invitation by email and set their own password. Accounts are personal, and each person must keep their sign-in details secret. Accounts may not be shared between people.
- The Restaurant is responsible for the people it invites and for what they do in Risthora, and must remove access promptly when someone stops working with it.
- ZetaVision's staff may access the account to operate, secure and support the service.
3. Acceptable use
The Restaurant and its members must not:
- use Risthora in breach of the law, including the rules on data protection, consumer protection, advertising and electronic communications;
- send promotional messages to people who have not consented, or try to get around Risthora's consent, opt-out and suppression rules;
- upload or publish content they do not have the rights to, including photos of people without their permission;
- publish misleading offers, prices or images, including images created with AI that misrepresent the dishes or the place;
- type guests' personal data into AI features, or send photos showing recognisable people to the image creation feature;
- try to access another restaurant's data, test or disrupt the service's security, or overload it;
- resell or sublicense Risthora without ZetaVision's written consent;
- breach the terms of the platforms they connect, such as Meta and Google.
ZetaVision may suspend access to an account, or to one member, at once in case of a serious breach of these terms or a security risk, and tells the Restaurant's owners promptly, with the reason. In other cases ZetaVision first asks the Restaurant to remedy the breach within a reasonable time.
4. The Restaurant's responsibilities toward its guests
- The Restaurant is the controller of its guests' data. ZetaVision processes that data on the Restaurant's behalf, under the data processing agreement under article 28 GDPR that ZetaVision concludes with the Restaurant. The Risthora Privacy Policy describes how.
- Notices. The Restaurant must publish its own privacy notice and cookie policy and add their links to the foot of its Risthora pages; the booking form shows those links beside its consent boxes.
- Promotional messages. The booking form offers guests an optional consent box that is never pre-ticked and is not required to book. Risthora sends promotional messages only to guests who ticked it, and always honours opt-outs and suppressions. The Restaurant must not import or enter consents it cannot prove.
- Guests' requests. The Restaurant answers its guests' requests about their data and forwards erasure requests to ZetaVision on the day it receives them, so that they can be carried out within the legal deadline of one month.
- Advertising measurement. Before switching on the sending of booking events to Meta, the Restaurant must name Meta as a recipient in its privacy notice and accept Meta's terms for its own dataset.
- Agencies. Before granting an agency access, the Restaurant must have a data processing agreement with that agency.
- Content. The Restaurant is responsible for its offers, prices, availability, texts and images, including those prepared with AI that it publishes.
5. Messages sent through Risthora
- A confirmed booking always receives its confirmation; the Restaurant cannot pause it.
- Reminders, promotional emails and other automatic messages follow the Restaurant's settings and pauses.
- Risthora does not track whether messages are opened or which links are clicked.
- Emails are sent through Risthora's sender or, if the Restaurant sets one up, through its own email server.
6. AI features
- AI features prepare proposals: answers about the reports, recommendations, offers and their pages, messages, images and short videos. Every proposal is marked as coming from AI and must be checked by the owner.
- Accepting a proposal prepares a draft. Publishing, sending or activating anything always needs a further action by the owner; agency members cannot publish, send or spend.
- In the offer studio, a figure such as a price reaches the page only if the owner wrote it. The owner remains responsible for checking every figure, claim and image before publishing.
- Pictures created with AI carry a label on the pages guests see and in advertisements.
- AI providers process the Restaurant's content as the Privacy Policy describes. Images and short videos are created by Higgsfield, whose standard terms allow it to use what it receives and produces to train its models.
- ZetaVision sets daily and monthly limits on each Restaurant's use of AI. No payment for AI is collected through Risthora today; if ZetaVision introduces charges for AI, it announces the prices and conditions in advance and they apply only once the Restaurant accepts them.
- AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete, and ZetaVision does not guarantee it. As between the Restaurant and ZetaVision, the content created with AI for the Restaurant belongs to the Restaurant, subject to the AI providers' terms.
7. Third-party connections
- The Restaurant may connect services it controls: Meta (to read its advertising results and, if it chooses, to send booking events to its own dataset), Google Analytics, its Meta Pixel, its own email server or email provider, and its own tools through API keys and the AI assistant connection (MCP).
- Each connection is made by an owner with the Restaurant's own account at that provider, and is governed by that provider's terms, which the Restaurant must accept and follow.
- The Meta advertising connection reads only: Risthora reads spend, impressions, clicks and results, and does not create, change or pay for advertising. The access token is stored encrypted and never shown. An owner can disconnect at any time; the token is then deleted and Risthora asks Meta to withdraw the permissions.
- ZetaVision is not responsible for the availability of third-party services or for the changes their providers make; when a change stops a connection from working, ZetaVision works to restore it within a reasonable time.
- Some features are built or in preparation but are not active today, such as WhatsApp reminders, Reserve with Google and publishing to Instagram. They will be offered with their own conditions when available.
8. Payments
- Risthora does not collect payments from guests. The card guarantee and deposit feature present in the software is not active.
- Fees for the service, if any, together with invoicing and payment terms, are those agreed in the Restaurant's order form or contract. Risthora has no subscription or billing screens today.
9. Availability, support and backups
- ZetaVision works to keep Risthora available at all times and performs planned maintenance, where possible, outside the restaurants' service hours. No specific availability level is guaranteed unless the Restaurant's contract states one.
- Support: admin@zetavision.it, on Italian working days.
- ZetaVision makes a backup of the database every night, keeps it on its server for 14 days, and stores an off-site copy at Cloudflare and an archive on its own storage in its office in Italy for disaster recovery. Photos and videos are backed up every night on ZetaVision's server.
- In an emergency, ZetaVision can stop every outgoing message for all restaurants at once.
10. Intellectual property
- The Restaurant keeps all rights in its content: texts, photos, videos, logo and data. It grants ZetaVision a non-exclusive, free licence to host, copy, process and display that content only to provide Risthora, for as long as the account exists and until the content is deleted.
- ZetaVision keeps all rights in the Risthora software, design and documentation.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ZetaVision is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, such as loss of profit, revenue, bookings or reputation, and its total liability towards the Restaurant for any event is limited to the fees the Restaurant paid ZetaVision for Risthora in the twelve months before that event. These limits do not apply to damage caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow them.
12. Term, suspension and termination
- These terms apply from the day the Restaurant's account is created and last until it ends. Either party may end the account with 30 days' written notice; ZetaVision may end it at once in case of a serious breach that is not remedied.
- Before the account ends, an owner who manages all the Restaurant's locations can export the Restaurant's bookings, guest contacts (with their consents, opt-outs and suppressions) and offers as CSV files, from Connections, "Your data", "Import and export".
- When the account ends, ZetaVision suspends it, so that its pages and console stop working, and then deletes the Restaurant's data. ZetaVision deletes the data within 30 days of the account ending, except the records the law requires it to keep, such as invoices. There is no self-service deletion button today; the Data Deletion Instructions explain how to ask.
- Backup copies on ZetaVision's server are deleted after 14 days; the off-site copy and the office archive have no automatic deletion date yet. A backup is never put back into the live service except to recover from an incident, and then every deletion made since is applied again.
- Until the data is deleted, the retention periods of the Privacy Policy continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
ZetaVision publishes every change on this page with its date and announces material changes by email to the Restaurant's owners at least 30 days before they take effect. If the Restaurant does not accept a change, it may end the account before the change takes effect; continuing to use Risthora afterwards means accepting it.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. The court of Trento has exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
